About

I am a multidisciplinary technology leader with over 15 years of experience bridging the gap between deep engineering and business value. With a foundation in Economics and dual Master of Science degrees in Software Management and Information Systems (both summa cum laude), I specialize in leading high-scale digital transformations and building resilient, vendor-agnostic architectures.

My career spans mission-critical government infrastructure to global e-commerce scaling. I am currently a PhD candidate at Middle East Technical University, researching Agentic Commerce—designing the future of autonomous, AI-driven marketplace ecosystems.

Experience

Pazarama

Senior Director, Information Technology and R&D
May 2024 – Present

I oversee the technological foundation and innovation roadmap of the organization:

  • Solutions Architecture: Lead an elite team of senior solutions architects to bridge the gap between complex business requirements and the scalable technical design of the Pazarama ecosystem.

  • Platform Engineering: Orchestrated a total migration from a vendor-locked Azure AppService architecture to a vendor-agnostic, cloud-native Kubernetes environment. I manage the resilience and efficiency of 100+ microservices and a high-throughput event-driven architecture.

  • Information Security: Oversee all InfoSec operations, ensuring a robust security posture that protects millions of customer transactions and internal infrastructure.

  • R&D: Spearheading a newly established department focused on integrating Generative AI and Machine Learning into the e-commerce experience.

Director, Solutions Architecture
Jan 2023 – May 2024
  • Orchestrated the architectural roadmap for Pazarama’s expansion, establishing the governance models and technical standards required to scale the platform into a leading regional e-commerce ecosystem.

Senior Solutions Architect
Mar 2022 – Jan 2023
  • Architected the core marketplace platform from inception, designing the initial high-throughput microservices foundation and event-driven integration layer to ensure high-availability and distributed data consistency.

Wayfair

Senior Engineering Manager

Led the Freight Network Team within Supply Chain Operations Technology during a period of unprecedented global logistics demand.

  • Managed the integration of new freight network lanes across North America, coordinating high-stakes planning and testing with third-party carriers.

  • Navigated a massive organizational shift from an on-premise PHP monolith to a microservices architecture on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey

Software Engineering Manager
Jun 2020 – Oct 2021
  • Agile Leadership: Supervised seven cross-functional teams comprising 30+ staff members (Engineers, BAs, Designers).

  • Talent Acquisition: Personally managed recruiting and technical screening for the department, building high-performing, self-organizing teams.

  • Process Modernization: Defined and improved the agile development lifecycle (SDLC) and technical procedures, aligning 100% of project delivery with department needs.

Senior Software Engineer
Jun 2012 – Jun 2020
  • National Scale Impact: Architected flagship systems used by millions: e-Visa (30M+ visas), KonsoloslukNET (Consular services for 5M citizens), and the national e-Passport biometric system.

  • Infrastructure at Scale: Installed a DevOps CI/CD infrastructure with 90+ automated pipelines and deployed a Big Data logging framework.

  • Refactoring: Strategically refactored 5 high-complexity legacy systems into distributed architectures without service interruption
